The Association for Talent Development in New Orleans is a leading source for training and development professionals, programs and publications in the Greater New Orleans Area. It is a non profit committed to promoting advancing the growth, competence, effectiveness and visibility of the human resource field.
It seeks to achieve this by providing continuing leadership in the training domain, promoting understanding of training and high quality resources, and sponsoring meetings and programs for learning professionals in the local area.
Benefits to members include professional development workshops, monthly educational programs, monthly newsletters, networking opportunities and more.
In the “Games Trainers Play” event, trainers learn how to use games to win big. Bob Pike’s fourth law of adult learning is that learning is directly proportional to the amount of fun that you have.
With a fast paced, interactive session, Bob will share with participants the tips and strategies needed for quickly involving learners in a session through the use of games, props, magic, movies, and lessons. He will also dive into activities that will help people to drive deep lessons on cooperation versus competition.
The “Creative Learning Strategies” course offers an insight into 27 ways to get greater results from training opportunities. It is based on Bob’s all-time bestselling train the trainer book, “The Master Trainer’s Handbook”, and condenses the advice into a one day workshop.
This features four modules, including one on getting results from training, one from getting to the C.O.R.E of training, and one on how to apply participant-centered models, along with memory and learner motivation.
