Austin, Texas Sep 21, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Progressive rock band Naz has released its debut single "American Farm Animals" which sheds light on the issue of factory farming. Naz is led by Bosnian war survivor, singer, and activist Nermin Osmanovic who has created an 11-minute epic that was inspired by an article about the veal boycott.
"Hundreds of thousands of farm animals are slaughtered every day in the land of the free," Osmanovic says. "We need to stop this now. We need to make a positive change for a better future. We should make better food choices and write to our representatives supporting farm animal rights organizations. The ultimate goal of this art piece is to raise awareness and get enough people to ask to make farm animals 'persons' and not just property under the law."
"American Farm Animals" has been released on all the major music platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, Pandora) - listen to it here - as well as released as a video on YouTube directed by Osmanovic and featuring the work of several animators and illustrators.
"It's wonderful music, the beginning of a great album," says veteran music producer Bob Katz. "It's big, bold, impactful, full, warm, and clear at the same time."

More about the inspiration behind "American Farm Animals":
Each year in the United States, hundreds of millions of animals are killed for human consumption. The amount of pain and suffering these animals live through is unbearable and impossible for a single person to comprehend. The main obstacle to achieving justice for Farm Animals in America is the inability of animal rights lawyers to defend the animals in the courtroom due to any farm animal being considered property and not a person. We can change this by influencing the Supreme Court to give farm animals proper rights. We all know and feel animals are intelligent and emotional, and that they can feel pain. We need to stop treating them as objects but instead treat them as equals, and open doors to unconditional love, kindness, and happiness on Earth. It is our hope with this art piece will inspire each listener to do something to make things right for our beautiful farm animals.
